Farmhouse

This farmhouse, a little distance inland on River Road, looks like it's been there at least a century. This place makes me think of the verses of the old camp song ---

"Near a house in a wood with a horse very good
A poor young farmer smiled as he stood
Looking down at his plow, in his heart was a glow
And he sang as he plowed the row..."

Times have changed, though: instead of a horse very good, see the small tractor?

farmhouse

An old farmhouse (about 1772) with a thatched roof and whitewashed walls, restored and used for another purpose because it is situated in part of the country were farming don't pay of. The name `Lien` is the name of the farm. Farms and estates often have names after the nearby village, the area or the last name of the family that owns the farm, most often for generations
